We Remember Submariners

We Remember Submariners

The group We Remember Submariners was created in 2011, following the murder of Lt Cdr Ian Molyneux GM RN. The objective of the group was initially to provide a wreath for his funeral.
Over 200 submariners joined together via Social media to do this. Since that time the group has grown to over 4000 Friends and sells memorial pins each year, these show the number of Submarines lost and the number of submariners that have Crossed the Bar in that year.
The group aims are:
• Provide a wreath for submarine memorial events such as National Submariners memorial service.
• To provide wreaths for as many shipmates that cross the Bar as we can.
• To provide Monetary assistance to submariners that have been identified as worthy Candidates.

We fund this effort by selling our year pins. This last year we sold over 7000. We have this year supported both serving and retired submariners in a variety of ways.
The group is currently undertaking steps to become a registered charity and for more information on the group, its aims and objectives and how you can contribute please visit the website at https://we-remember-submariners.com.
